AGNEMA is a plant pathology and analytical laboratory that works with growers and agriculture companies at any stage of the crop production to detect soil-borne diseases and plant pathogens.
Description
The main responsibilities of this role are primarily routine, protocol driven tasks. Tasks are expected to be performed with a high level of autonomy. You will perform both general and technical lab support duties which primarily include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting low-level maintenance of lab instrumentation and equipment
- Biological sample accessioning (such as from soil, plant tissues or plant pests)
- Sample preparation and processing
- Ensuring labware and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, maintained, and stocked through use of appropriate equipment and processes
- Maintaining a well-organized, clean and safe lab working environment
Requirements
- 18 or older
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- No prior experience required
- Basic math skills
- Use basic lab equipment
- Good knowledge of computer systems
- Good communication skills
- Needs to be organized, efficient, and have good time management skills
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Adheres to all standards, policies and systems as appropriate
