AGNEMA is a plant pathology and analytical laboratory that provides testing services to growers, ag companies, universities, research and consulting companies, environmental, and government agencies. We test soil, water, and plant materials to detect diseases, parasites, plant pathogens, analytes, and soil health properties.

The main responsibilities of this role are primarily routine, protocol driven tasks. Tasks are expected to be performed with a high level of autonomy. You will perform both general and technical lab support duties which primarily include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting low-level maintenance of lab instrumentation and equipment
• Biological sample accessioning (such as from soil, plant tissues or plant pests)
• Sample preparation and processing
• Ensuring labware and supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, maintained, and stocked through use of appropriate equipment and processes 
• Maintaining a well-organized, clean and safe lab working environment

Requirements

• 18 or older
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• No prior experience required
• Basic math skills
• Use basic lab equipment
• Good knowledge of computer systems
• Good communication skills
• Needs to be organized, efficient, and have good time management skills
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Adheres to all standards, policies and systems as appropriate
