Overview
AgencyQ is looking for a Senior Director or Vice President, Growth to own new client acquisition across our core market segments: Healthcare, B2B, Government, Manufacturing, and Travel & Hospitality. This is an externally facing, quota-carrying role for someone who can open doors inside our ideal client profile, lead complex pursuits from first conversation through signature, and co-sell alongside our platform partners.
You will represent the full range of what AgencyQ does: experience platforms and content, data and analytics, AI and agentic solutions, and digital marketing. Your buyers are senior marketing, digital, data, and technology leaders. You will also help shape how we go to market: which accounts we chase, how we position a platform-agnostic point of view in a partner-driven market, and how we use AgencyQ's AiQ Cortex solution as a commercial advantage and outcome accelerator. We are looking for a builder, not a caretaker of an existing book.
Note: The salary range includes compensation tied to on target performance.
Technical Competencies
- Identify, qualify, and open new opportunities within AgencyQ's ideal client profile, with coverage across Healthcare, B2B, Government, Manufacturing, and Travel & Hospitality.
- Originate demand across all of AgencyQ's growth areas, including data and analytics, AI and agentic solutions, digital marketing, and experience platform work, rather than defaulting to the offer you know best.
- Lead sales pursuits end to end: discovery, solution shaping, proposal and pricing strategy, orals, negotiation, and close.
- Co-sell with our platform and technology partners across the experience, CRM, data, marketing, and AI ecosystems, including Salesforce, Sitecore, Acquia, Optimizely, Contentful, and others. Build durable relationships with partner sellers and alliance teams to generate referred and joint pipeline.
- Build and sustain a self-sourced pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and account-based campaigns.
- Position AgencyQ's full portfolio, from platform-agnostic DXP and CMS advisory to data and analytics, AI and agentic solutions, digital marketing, and the AiQ Cortex solution, in terms of client business and mission outcomes rather than feature lists.
- Own forecast accuracy and CRM hygiene. Report pipeline coverage, stage conversion, and win rates to the Executive Team on a weekly cadence.
- Assemble and lead pursuit teams across strategy, design, engineering, data, and delivery, including win-theme development and proposal writing.
- Identify, review, and pursue RFPs and RFIs, including government procurement vehicles and teaming arrangements with prime contractors where applicable.
- Provide strategic and tactical guidance for marketing materials, thought leadership, and campaigns targeted to priority segments and partner ecosystems.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, deal structure, and commercial terms in partnership with the Executive Team, including retainer, outcome-based, and hybrid models.
- Maintain an exceptional level of expertise on AgencyQ's services and on the experience platform, data, marketing technology, and AI landscape, along with the business dynamics of each core segment.
- Ensure a clean handoff from sale to delivery so that what we sold is what we staff and what we ship.
Behavioral Competencies
- Passion for user-centered design and a fascination with understanding the human experience.
- Unwavering commitment and ownership to solving customer problems. Loves to delight a customer.
- Organizational leader who works collaboratively with the Executive Team. A team player, open to critiques from all disciplines, and not afraid to share ideas.
- Ability to define and drive a vision for the team as well as for clients, not backing down on important issues, aligned with the company's direction. We are looking for a long-term strategic hire who pushes boundaries and evolves processes, offerings, and thought.
- Strong sense of empathy for internal and external audiences and their needs.
- A leader and a do-er. Understands the importance of rolling up one's sleeves to achieve customer goals and consistently hit results, while also championing the vision.
- Comfortable carrying a number, being measured against it, and talking openly about a quarter that is not tracking.
- Intellectually curious about where our market is going, particularly in data and applied AI, and willing to sell something new before it is a proven category.
- Continuous self-learner, constantly seeking opportunities to experiment, fail fast, optimize, and improve workflows, and foster open communication.
- Curious and critical thinker with an ability to articulate complex ideas with humility.
- Fundamentally cares about others.
- Energized by solving problems and developing structure around ambiguity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8 or more years of consultative services selling experience including at least 5 years selling digital, MarTech, or technology services. Agency and/or consultancy experience is REQUIRED.
- Demonstrated record of personally originating and closing services engagements in the $250,000 to $2,000,000 range, with consistent achievement against an annual number.
- Direct selling experience in two or more of our core segments: Healthcare, B2B, Government, Manufacturing, and Travel & Hospitality.
- Experience co-selling with technology or platform partners and working alliance channels to generate qualified pipeline.
- Working knowledge of at least two of our core growth areas: experience platforms and CMS (Sitecore, Adobe, Acquia, Optimizely, Contentful, Salesforce, or comparable), data and analytics, AI and agentic solutions, or digital marketing and marketing technology. Depth in one and credible range across the rest.
- Ability to speak convincingly about how modern digital platforms, data, and AI create measurable business value, without needing a solution architect in the room for a first conversation.
- Experience writing proposals and leading integrated capture teams across multiple disciplines and, where required, multiple vendors.
- Familiarity with Customer and Citizen Experience, User Experience and Human-Centered Design (UX/HCD), marketing technology, data and analytics platforms, and web and digital communications platforms.
- Track record of winning work either directly or through prime contractors.
- An understanding of the FAR and government procurement processes and vehicles a plus.
- Detail oriented and fastidious in listening and capturing information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including executive-level presentation and facilitation.
- Professional persistence to drive sales and connect with customers.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, partner events, and industry conferences.
