THE ROLE

As an Early Childhood Teacher with Agape Childcare Staffing, you will provide classroom coverage and additional support when our partner programs need staff.

Depending on the assignment, you may work as a lead or supporting teacher with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, Pre-K, or kindergarten-aged children.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead or assist in infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-K, and kindergarten classrooms
  • Provide attentive supervision and maintain a safe, nurturing environment
  • Follow established lesson plans, classroom routines, and program procedures
  • Lead age-appropriate learning activities, play, and classroom experiences
  • Assist with daily routines, including meals, transitions, rest periods, and classroom organization
  • Maintain required teacher-to-child ratios and follow program safety standards
  • Communicate professionally with classroom staff and program leadership
  • Adapt to the routines and expectations of different classroom environments

SCHEDULE

  • Substitute/as-needed weekday assignments
  • Minimum availability of 2–3 weekdays per week preferred
  • Shifts typically range from 4–8 hours
  • Accept assignments based on your availability
  • Flexibility for short-notice assignments is a plus
  • Assignment availability varies based on client staffing needs
  • Hours are not guaranteed

PAY & EMPLOYMENT

  • Starting pay: $18/hour
  • Opportunity to earn up to $20/hour over time by demonstrating consistent attendance, reliability, and strong performance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or young children in a professional childcare or educational setting
  • Comfortable working with different early childhood age groups
  • Able to confidently lead or support a classroom
  • Able to follow established lesson plans, classroom routines, and program procedures
  • Dependable, professional, and adaptable to different classroom environments
  • Available for weekday assignments
  • Willing to complete required background checks and pre-service training before placement
  • Comfortable working in a variety of childcare and educational environments, including faith-based programs when applicable

IMPORTANT SCHEDULING INFORMATION

This is an as-needed substitute teaching position. Assignments are offered based on client staffing requests, location, qualifications, and teacher availability. This position does not guarantee a set number of hours or a consistent weekly schedule.


Salary

$18 - $20 per hour
