Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR support and services in various areas, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our HR department, while also fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
· Partner with hiring managers to conduct recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
· Collaborate with department heads to create and implement effective performance management programs, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
· Handle employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, counseling employees, and mediating disputes.
· Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations.
· Manage leave of absence requests, including FMLA and disability accommodations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and HRIS data to ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
· Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Stay current on HR best practices and legal requirements, providing guidance and recommendations to management as needed.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or a combination of education and work experience)
· 3+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
· Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
