About the role
We are hiring wind technicians at every level, from entry-level Tech I through experienced Lead. Our Site Lead and Field Supervisor positions are filled from within this role, so strong performers have a clear path to leading crews.
What you'll do
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on utility-scale wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in the nacelle, hub, pitch system, and tower
- Support major component exchanges and uptower craneless repairs
- Perform blade inspection and repair, including composite repair and rope access work (qualified technicians)
- Carry out torque and tension, inspections, and component replacements
- Work at height and follow all climb, rescue, and LOTO procedures
- Document work accurately for customers and internal quality records
What we're looking for
- Wind field experience or a wind technology certificate (entry-level candidates, veterans, and career changers are welcome)
- GWO Basic Safety Training, or willingness to obtain it
- IRATA or SPRAT rope access and composite repair experience a plus
- Comfort climbing and working at height in all weather
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel nationwide
- A strong safety mindset and pride in quality work
- Lead candidates: experience running a crew, coordinating with site and customer contacts, and owning daily reporting
