About the role
We are hiring battery energy storage (BESS) technicians at every level, from entry-level Tech I through experienced Lead. Our Site Lead and Field Supervisor positions are filled from within this role, so strong performers have a clear path to leading crews.
What you'll do
- Support BESS installation, commissioning, testing, and startup
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on battery enclosures, racks, PCS/inverters, HVAC, and fire suppression systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues alongside OEM and customer teams
- Support safety compliance inspections and emergency response
- Follow strict NFPA 70E, LOTO, and site-specific safety procedures
- Document work and findings thoroughly
What we're looking for
- BESS, solar, substation, or industrial electrical experience (entry-level candidates, veterans, and career changers are welcome)
- Working knowledge of medium and low voltage systems and electrical safety
- OSHA 10 (NFPA 70E training a plus)
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel nationwide
- A disciplined, safety-first approach
- Lead candidates: experience running a crew, coordinating with site and customer contacts, and owning daily reporting
