Intro

Our mission is to decarbonize the "hard-to-abate" heavy industrial sectors of the world economy with a new class of electrolyzers. Advanced Ionics is seeking a highly motivated Multiphysics Modeler to join our growing team that is dedicated to developing transformational “green hydrogen” industrial electrolyzer systems.

You are responsible for developing complex multiphysics models of electrolyzer systems for simulations, testing, continuous development, and technology improvement. You will also be working with lead engineers and scientists to validate these models.

What You’ll Do

• Create multiphysics models of electrochemical, thermal and fluid systems for electrolysis
• Verify models are accurate with the material science and engineering teams
• Analyze reliability data from the test stations and compare it to the models, using this data to then further improve the models
• Report and aggregate data and findings to the technical team.
• In working with other team members, propose optimizations to the system and the technology
• Other duties as may be assigned

What You’ve Done to Get Here:

• You have experience with a variety of software tools and coding languages, including but not limited to Comsol, MATLab, Python, and/or other multiphysics computational modeling software
• You have experience with analogous systems, such as solid oxide fuel cells or electrolyzers, among others
• Masters or PhD in relevant field, with 2-4 years of experience with modeling
• You are results-oriented and can do work independently
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
