Intro

Our mission is to decarbonize the "hard-to-abate" heavy industrial sectors of the world economy with a new class of electrolyzers. Advanced Ionics is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer to join our growing team that is dedicated to developing transformational “green hydrogen” industrial electrolyzer systems.

You are responsible for working with lead scientists and engineers to design, implement and build control systems for our systems. You will be in charge of compiling data and building the operating and monitoring system for industrial applications.

What You’ll Do

• Design Industrial Control Systems for our electrolyzer technology
• Determine best methods to control the electrolyzer’s behavior and implement those methods in hardware and software.
• Automate both internal test systems and in-the-field system
• Implement and monitor data logging system for remote data acquisition
• Design and program user and operating interface for systems to industry standards 
• Other duties as may be assigned

What You’ve Done to Get Here:

• You have experience coding in Python and in PLCs
• Excellent fundamental understanding of control theory including PID, steady-state and dynamic controls, and continuous and discrete systems
• Deep understanding of addressing and counteracting cybersecurity risks
• Implemented remote monitoring of industrial systems
• 5+ years of software, mechanical or computer work.
• 2+ years of experience in controls programming or a related field.
• You are results-oriented and can do work independently
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You are adaptable and thrive in a fast paced environment
• You have US work authorization
