Position Overview

We have an opening for a Technical Surveillance Specialist to join our team in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) in Reston, VA. This role involves planning, conducting, and supporting technical surveillance operations, as well as maintaining specialized surveillance equipment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical surveillance capabilities and their role in supporting DoD Counterintelligence (CI), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), or Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel and units. This position may require worldwide travel and deployment to various operational environments.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of related experience or 8 years of experience with an Associate’s degree.
  • Technical Surveillance Operations: Experience in planning, preparing for, supporting, or conducting technical surveillance operations is required.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Capability to modify, install, and maintain specialized surveillance equipment, as well as related communications relay and data storage devices.
  • Understanding of Technical Surveillance: An extensive understanding of the role of technical surveillance capabilities in supporting DoD CI, HUMINT, or SOF personnel and units.
  • Travel and Deployment: Willingness and ability to travel and deploy worldwide, including urban facilities and austere military contingency areas.
  • Sensor Knowledge: Knowledge of various sensor types and capabilities, including audio, video, still imaging, thermal, etc.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt and modify technical surveillance solutions to various operating environments and tactical scenarios.
  • Security Clearance: A current TS/SCI Clearance with CI polygraph is required for this role, or candidates should have the ability to obtain polygraph clearance before the start date.
  • Background Investigation: Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation is mandatory to ensure compliance with security protocols.
