Technical Surveillance Instructor Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Surveillance Instructor to join our team in Sterling, Virginia. In this role, you will take on the responsibility of instructing and training personnel in the planning, execution, and support of technical surveillance operations, as well as the maintenance of specialized surveillance equipment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical surveillance capabilities and their application in supporting DoD Counterintelligence (CI), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), or Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel and units. This position may require worldwide travel and deployment to various operational environments.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of related experience or 8 years of experience with an Associate’s degree.
Technical Surveillance Operations: Experience in planning, preparing for, supporting, or conducting technical surveillance operations is required.
Equipment Maintenance: Capability to modify, install, and maintain specialized surveillance equipment, as well as related communications relay and data storage devices.
Understanding of Technical Surveillance: An extensive understanding of the role of technical surveillance capabilities in supporting DoD CI, HUMINT, or SOF personnel and units.
Travel and Deployment: Willingness and ability to travel and deploy worldwide, including urban facilities and austere military contingency areas.
Sensor Knowledge: Knowledge of various sensor types and capabilities, including audio, video, still imaging, thermal, etc.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt and modify technical surveillance solutions to various operating environments and tactical scenarios.
Security Clearance: A current TS/SCI Clearance with CI polygraph is required for this role, or candidates should have the ability to obtain polygraph clearance before the start date.
Background Investigation: Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation is mandatory to ensure compliance with security protocols.
