Position: Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) - Software Development Security Specialist

Location: Reston, VA

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Advanced Applications Group LLC (AAG) is actively seeking an Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) with a specialization in Software Development Security to join our team in Reston, VA. This role is pivotal in applying a blend of decision analytics, mathematical, statistical, and data mining techniques to enhance the security of software development processes for our Government Client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and apply a range of decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, data mining, modeling, and simulation to address software development security challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive research using multi-source data, combined with military and/or Intelligence Community (IC) judgment, to facilitate senior leadership decisions in the context of software security.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate advanced ORSA methodologies into security practices.
  • Provide unique and timely analysis on operationally-focused issues, utilizing inter-disciplinary techniques and methods.
  • Develop strategies to enhance software security throughout the development lifecycle and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in operations research, software development security, and related fields.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Research Systems Analyst with a focus on software development security.
  • Strong background in decision analytics, mathematical modeling, statistical techniques, and data mining.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and to provide insights for senior leadership decision-making.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience in software development security within a government or defense environment.
  • Familiarity with the latest methodologies and tools in software security and operations research.
