Position Overview

We have an opening for a Senior Network Engineer to provide critical support to our Government client in Reston, VA. In this role, you will be instrumental in the planning, engineering, and design of data networks. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring secure and efficient network operations.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: A current TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required for this role, or candidates should have the ability to obtain a CI polygraph prior to the start date.
  • Network Planning and Engineering: A minimum of 10 years of experience in data network planning, engineering, and design.
  • Network Hardware and Software: 3 years of experience in the areas of network and computer software/hardware interconnection and interfacing, including routers, multiplexes, hubs, bridges, and gateways.
  • Ethernet Technologies: Extensive experience and understanding of fiber and copper Ethernet technologies, capabilities, and cabling, as well as their connectivity to local and wide area networks.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, physical science, or engineering is required.
  • ICD 503 Compliance: Knowledge and experience with ICD 503 compliance, documentation, implementations, along with relevant certifications or experience in Information Systems Security Representative/Officer (ISSR/ISSO).
  • Travel: Ability to travel within CONUS (Continental United States).
  • Background Investigation: Successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation is mandatory to ensure compliance with security protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Information Assurance Certifications: Ideal candidates would have certifications in information assurance to meet DoD manual 8570 IA technical level 2.
  • OCONUS Travel: Ability to support occasional OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) travel.
