Location: Reston, VA

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Advanced Applications Group LLC (AAG) is currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer with a specialization in Photonics and Electronics to join our team in support of our Government Client in Reston, VA. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about advancing the fields of photonics and electronics and applying their expertise to critical government projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test advanced photonic and electronic systems and components.
  • Conduct research and experimentation to advance the state of the art in photonics and electronics.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate photonic and electronic technologies into broader systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on photonics and electronics in the development of complex projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in the fields of photonics and electronics.
  • Document technical findings, prepare reports, and present research outcomes to stakeholders and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with a focus on photonics and electronics.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of photonic and electronic systems.
  • Experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex electronic circuits and photonic devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams on complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working on government contracts or projects related to national security.
  • Published research or significant contributions to the field of photonics and electronics.
