We are seeking an Accreditation Specialist to support our Government Client in Reston, VA.


Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Advanced Applications Group LLC (AAG) is in search of a highly qualified Accreditation Specialist to join our team. This position is focused on supporting our Government Client in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accreditation processes and standards, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations and systems meet rigorous compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accreditation efforts for all systems and processes to ensure compliance with government standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accreditation documentation, including security plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct comprehensive reviews and audits.
  • Advise on the implementation of security controls and measures to mitigate risks.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accreditation standards and government regulations.


  • Proven experience in an accreditation role, preferably within a government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with common government accreditation standards such as NIST, RMF, or DIACAP.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is mandatory for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CAP.
  • Experience with security compliance and risk management frameworks.
