Description

Build the Future of Construction

ADL Ventures is hiring an intern to support the execution team working on industrialized construction (IC). Help bring manufacturing, standardization, and new technologies to the way America builds.

This is a high-impact early-career role with real ownership, flexibility in how you solve problems, and close collaboration with experienced colleagues. Recent graduates and nontraditional backgrounds are encouraged to apply. No prior full-time experience is required.

What You’ll Work On

  • Project Execution & Coordination: Support project teams by organizing key workstreams, tracking tasks, monitoring project timelines, flagging potential issues, and coordinating documentation.
  • Technical & Analytical Support: Assist with reviewing and structuring project materials, including construction cost estimates, basic estimate tables, design criteria summaries, project budgets, and analytical frameworks.
  • Research & Insights: Conduct research and analysis on infrastructure programs, market trends, delivery models, repeatable design guides, and emerging technologies.
  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Assist with communication across internal teams, external engineering/design partners, industry collaborators, and government agencies.
  • Workshops & Documentation: Participate in charrettes, workshops, and design review sessions—documenting insights, taking detailed notes, and tracking action items.
  • Reporting: Contribute to the development of high-quality presentations, performance frameworks, and reports for senior stakeholders and government partners.

You’ll Thrive Here If

  • You’re biased toward action: a self-starter who takes ownership, follows through, and asks thoughtful questions.
  • AI is part of your daily work. You regularly max out your Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI subscriptions while experimenting with research or engineering workflows—and you check the results.
  • You understand construction fundamentals and are excited by off-site manufacturing, automation, and disruptive building technologies.
  • You’re eager to learn from colleagues and want a long-term career in the built environment through a nontraditional path.

Show us your potential through coursework, internships, trades, manufacturing, military service, or something you’ve built yourself. Curiosity, sound judgment, clear communication, and comfort with spreadsheets matter here.

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on exposure to real-world, high-impact innovation programs.
  • Direct experience collaborating across industry, government, and research institutions.
  • Mentorship from nationally recognized industry experts in energy, tech, and infrastructure.
  • Opportunities to shape the future of smart, sustainable, and efficient infrastructure delivery.
