The Job Overview
We are seeking a bookkeeper to assist with all of our finances. Your responsibilities will include assist in tracking our organization’s revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as assisting in producing financial reports. You will also be responsible for assisting in auditing the charges and our books to ensure our records are correct.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information for review by the company accountants
- Assist in reconciling company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Assist in preparing tax returns for businesses and subsidiaries
- Post financial transactions to accounts and to our accounting software (Quickbooks) and prepare financial statements
- Study financial trends to determine future business needs
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
- Experience in forensic bookkeeping and auditing is mandatory and attention to detail will be prioritized
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to identify problems in the duties they are assigned or to oversee and suggest solutions to maintain compliance with best industry practices
Compensation:
- $23 to $28 hour but negotiable based on experience
