Technical Support & Solution Development

• Understand customer manufacturing processes and application requirements.
• Recommend technically appropriate paper, film, and converted product solutions.
• Lead product trials, qualifications, and commercialization activities.
• Coordinate technical problem-solving efforts and root-cause analysis with production and quality teams.
• Provide expertise regarding product performance, specifications, and converting capabilities.

Manufacturing Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Assist customers with qualifying products on their machinery
• Perform customer visits and conduct technical presentations
• Serve as a technical liaison between Sales, Operations, Quality, Production, and Engineering to improve manufacturing performance and product consistency.
• Develop a strong understanding of the businesses converting, coating, printing, slitting, and finishing processes to effectively support operational excellence.
• Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations involving customer complaints, internal quality issues, production inefficiencies, and process variation.
• Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), CAPA, and Pareto analysis to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, process bottlenecks, waste reduction opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
• Partner with operations teams to implement corrective and preventive actions that improve safety, quality, productivity, yield, and cost performance.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing scrap, downtime, rework, and process variability.
• Participate in new product introductions, process validation activities, and scale-up efforts to ensure successful commercialization and manufacturability.
• Drive a culture of operational excellence by sharing customer feedback, process insights, and best practices throughout the organization.
• Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation, specifications, standard operating procedures, and process control methods.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering
• Background in transformers, insulation materials, or related industries strongly preferred
• Knowledge of coatings, resins, and curing processes
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to travel 30–50%
