We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Daycare Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, lessons, and play experiences.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, and nap time.
  • Observe and document children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
  • Promote positive behavior using appropriate guidance and classroom management techniques.
  • Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Child Development Associate (CDA), Early Childhood Education certification, or related degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.

Salary

$12 - $15 per hour
