We are looking for a candidate who is passionate and driven and can help us grow and set us up for continued success!

This role is part of our Public Relations Committee which is led by Christopher Whittier, the Chair of the Board. Our team is small, collaborative, fun to work with, and communicates often. We are here to empower you and provide support.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a diversified portfolio of donors, grants, and sponsorships to fund the Autism Included mission and programs
  • Help establish best practices, processes, and tools for fundraising efforts
  • Attend committee meetings as needed (virtual)
  • Grow the Fundraising Committee as needed to keep up with the growth and needs of the organization.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors and other volunteer roles to set and execute strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills - You will be building relationships, and representing the organization in both written and in-person interactions, a cheerful and passionate demeanor will be key!
  • Highly organized - You will work together with the Board of Directors on initiatives and will ensure that new engagements and progress are tracked and visible for updates and reporting.
  • Experience in non-profit fundraising and pre-existing relationships with RI-based donors is a huge plus!

Time commitment

Flexible, and may vary depending on the current initiative. Most of the board and volunteers support Autism Included outside of their full-time jobs. 5 hours a week may be a realistic expectation at first as we begin to build up a fundraising presence.

Work environment

"Every day" responsibilities can be done remotely. There may be opportunities that would be beneficial to pursue in person (attending an event, meeting with a potential donor or sponsor, etc), so please be open to those types of initiatives if required.
