Job Description:

Position Overview: Access Patrol, Incorporated (API) is seeking ambitious, dedicated and reliable entry-level unarmed security guards to secure a property. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the premises while construction and activities continue on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible deterrent against crime and conduct regular patrols of client properties.
• Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness and remain vigilant at all times.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an unarmed security guard or in a similar role.
• Valid Maryland Security Guard Certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must pass a background check, drug screening, and a security assessment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
