Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Academy Primary Care. As a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and continuous medical care to individuals of all ages, from infants to seniors. This is a full-time position located at our office in Greenwood, Indiana. The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and patient load.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough medical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans for patients of all ages
• Providing preventive care, including vaccinations, health screenings, and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
• Managing chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, through regular check-ups and medication management
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, specialists, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Documenting patient medical histories, symptoms, and treatment outcomes accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records
• Educating patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest medical research, advancements, and guidelines to provide evidence-based care
• Participating in regular team meetings, professional development activities, and quality improvement initiatives
• Embracing a patient-centered approach, actively listening to patients' concerns, and providing compassionate care

Requirements:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license in Indiana
• Completed MSN or DNP accredited graduate program
• Completed national certification exam in family medicine specialty
• Valid and unrestricted APRN license in Indiana
• Proven experience in an outpatient setting
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant medical software
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting patient satisfaction
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
• Understanding of and adherence to patient privacy regulations, including the prohibition on inquiring about criminal backgrounds
