Job Description

A Yummy Future Cooking Studio is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and creative Culinary Instructor to join our growing team in Arcadia!

We provide engaging, hands-on culinary experiences for children and adults, helping participants develop cooking skills, build confidence, explore new recipes, and enjoy the art of cooking.

We’re looking for someone passionate about food, comfortable working with different age groups, and capable of creating a fun, welcoming, and educational kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead interactive cooking classes for children and adults.
• Teach essential culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety.
• Follow established AYF recipes, lesson plans, and curriculum.
• Adapt instruction to different ages, experience levels, and learning styles.
• Prepare ingredients, equipment, and cooking stations before classes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized cooking environment.
• Encourage creativity, teamwork, and active participation.
• Manage group activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with participants, parents, and program partners.
• Complete setup, cleanup, and class documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking, culinary instruction, education, or a related field.
• Comfortable teaching both children and adults.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently manage group cooking activities.
• Reliable transportation to Arcadia, CA.
• Consistent availability on Mondays from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
• Ability to complete required background checks and onboarding documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching culinary classes, workshops, or enrichment programs.
• Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings.
• California Food Handler Certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Experience accommodating different learning styles and abilities.
