Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A+ Charter Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and personal growth of all students. This teacher will work closely with the administrative staff and department leads to ensure alignment of curriculum and instructional strategies within their specific subject area.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that align with state standards and the school's curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation, collaboration, and academic growth.
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate relevant subject areas.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues about student progress, academic goals, and upcoming events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and pedagogy.
- Actively contribute to the school community by participating in meetings, committees, and extracurricular activities.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching credential or certification in relevant subject area (Preferred).
- Previous teaching experience at the < high school / middle school> level (Preferred).
- Must pass a criminal background check and either be able to obtain or already have a IVP Level 1 valid fingerprint clearance card.
- Deep understanding of relevant subject areas, with the ability to effectively differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Eligible candidates teaching Math and/or Science courses may qualify for additional stipend opportunities.
