We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our collaborative team at 850 Therapy. In this role, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide individualized, evidence-based care for children from infancy through adolescence. Description

Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and Assess: Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate children’s motor skills, strength, balance, range of motion, and coordination.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with other team members, ensuring that each child’s physical therapy goals align with their developmental needs.
  • Provide Therapy Interventions: Implement treatment plans through a combination of play-based therapies, therapeutic exercises, strength training, and mobility exercises to improve gross motor skills, flexibility, and overall physical function.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with occupational therapists, speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to ensure holistic care and support for the child’s needs.
  • Family Education and Support: Educate and train families and caregivers on how to implement therapy strategies at home to reinforce progress and ensure continued development outside of sessions.
  • Monitor Progress and Adjust Treatment Plans: Regularly assess and document the progress of each child, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure continued improvement and goal achievement.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure to practice physical therapy. Certification in pediatric physical therapy is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric development and common pediatric conditions.
  • Ability to design and implement effective and engaging therapy interventions for children.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to address unique challenges presented by children with varying needs.
  • New Grads will be considered


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certification in pediatric physical therapy or specialized training in pediatric neurology, developmental delays, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with a collaborative team approach.

$50 - $75 per hour
