Position Overview:

In this role, you will provide behavioral therapy and interventions for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, using evidence-based ABA strategies both in-home and in a clinic environment. You will work closely with our team of therapists and collaborate with our ABA specialists to create and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving behavior, communication, and social skills in a family-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct Assessments: Perform functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify target behaviors and develop individualized treatment plans based on data and evidence-based ABA practices.
  • Design Treatment Plans: Create individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that focus on improving socially significant behaviors, communication, social skills, self-help skills, and other developmental goals.
  • Implement ABA Therapy: Provide direct behavioral therapy services using ABA techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and other evidence-based strategies.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with pediatric physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other team members to ensure integrated, holistic care for children. Coordinate with our ABA specialists to align therapy strategies and ensure consistency.
  • Parent and Caregiver Training: Educate and train parents and caregivers on implementing behavior management strategies at home, including reinforcement techniques, communication strategies, and behavior tracking.
  • Monitor and Track Progress: Collect and analyze data on client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and regularly communicate progress to families and team members.
  • Supervise RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians): Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to RBTs, ensuring that therapy is being implemented effectively and consistently.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate, up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Certification: Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of ABA techniques and methodologies, including functional analysis, behavior intervention plans, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric therapists and ABA professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, caregivers, and team members.
  • Experience providing training and supervision to RBTs or other behavior technicians.
  • Compassion, patience, and flexibility in working with children with developmental and behavioral challenges.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in pediatric settings, particularly working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders.
  • Experience using various assessment tools, such as the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program), ABLLS-R (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills), or similar.
  • Strong understanding of family-centered care and experience providing parent/caregiver training.
