Description

The Kitchen Team Member is responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen, and providing excellent customer service. This position plays a key role in ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to company standards while helping create a positive experience for every customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards.
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times.
  • Ensure food is fresh, properly labeled, and stored according to health regulations.
  • Stock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and food products as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and product expiration dates.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate food temperatures and complete required food safety logs.
  • Work with other team members to ensure timely food preparation during busy periods.
  • Provide friendly and courteous customer service when interacting with guests.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and local health department regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
  • Food Handler Certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

This position works in a convenience store kitchen and may include preparing made-to-order foods, pizza, roller grill items, breakfast, deli products, and other food offerings. Team members are expected to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food quality, and customer service while supporting the overall success of the store.

Salary

$12 - $13 per hour
