We are seeking a multi-licensed Environmental Field Technician based in Florida to conduct mold assessments, asbestos inspections, and lead inspections or RRP (Renovation, Repair & Painting) compliance reviews. This is a client-facing, field-based position ideal for a self-starter who values accuracy, professionalism, and public health impact.
· • Perform mold assessments per Florida DBPR standards, including visual inspections and air/surface sampling.
· • Conduct asbestos inspections and bulk sampling following AHERA, EPA, and OSHA guidelines.
· • Execute lead-based paint inspections or lead-safe renovation compliance assessments per EPA/HUD and/or RRP regulations.
· • Prepare detailed, compliant reports with photos, diagrams, lab results, and professional conclusions.
· • Maintain accurate records of sampling, equipment calibration, and client communications.
· • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations regarding hazardous materials.
· • Communicate findings clearly to clients and provide expert guidance when requested.
· • Travel daily to client sites throughout South Florida; occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
· • Florida Licensed Mold Assessor
· • AHERA Certified Asbestos Inspector (Florida-recognized)
· • EPA-Certified Lead Inspector or Certified Renovator
· • Minimum 2 years of field experience in environmental testing or hazardous materials inspection
· • Strong knowledge of sampling protocols, building systems, and relevant regulations (DBPR, EPA, HUD, OSHA)
· • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· • Proficiency in report writing and using mobile field apps or inspection software
· • Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable vehicle
· • Ability to lift 50 lbs and access confined spaces, attics, and roofs
· • NIOSH 582 or other air sampling certifications
· • Additional licenses (e.g., Radon Measurement, Lead Risk Assessor)
· • Bilingual in English and Spanish
· • Experience working with real estate, insurance, legal, or remediation firms
