Duties include medication administration, monitoring residents’ health and well-being, assisting with treatments as ordered, maintaining accurate documentation, responding to medical needs, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and state regulations. The LPN works collaboratively to promote the health, safety, and quality of life of residents while providing compassionate, professional care.

Description

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor residents’ health status and report changes or concerns
  • Provide direct nursing care and support with medical needs
  • Assist with assessments, vital signs, and health monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation, medication records, and progress notes
  • Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and agency policies
  • Respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies
  • Support residents with activities of daily living as needed
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain infection control, safety standards, and resident rights
  • Participate in required trainings and maintain current licensure/certifications

Qualifications:

  • Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Medication Administration competency
  • Level 2 Background Screening and Local Background Screening (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience in group home, developmental disabilities, or long-term care preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills

Schedule:

  • Morning shifts available
  • 12-hour 2nd and 3rd shifts available

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, assist with transfers, and respond to resident needs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform duties required in a care setting 


Salary

$25 - $30 per hour
