Personal Support Services

 Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including:

o Bathing and grooming

o Dressing and hygiene

o Toileting assistance

o Mobility and transfers

 Provide medication reminders (no administration unless certified and authorized).

 Monitor and report changes in client condition.

 Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.

 Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, bed linens, tidying client areas).

Companion Services

 Provide friendly conversation and emotional support.

 Engage clients in recreational activities (games, reading, walks, hobbies).

 Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.

 Encourage participation in social and family activities.

 Support cognitive stimulation activities.

Safety & Documentation

 Maintain a safe and clean home environment.

 Follow care plans and agency policies.

 Document daily activities and observations accurately.

 Report incidents, concerns, or changes promptly.

 Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

 High School Diploma or GED preferred.

 Previous caregiving or personal support experience preferred.

 CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

 Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation and vehicle insurance & registration (if required for errands).

 Ability to pass level 2 and local background screening.

Skills & Abilities

 Compassionate, patient, and dependable.

 Strong communication skills.

 Ability to maintain professional boundaries.

 Ability to assist with lifting and mobility support (up to 50 lbs).

 Ability to work flexible schedules (including evenings and weekends if needed).

Physical Requirements

 Standing, walking, bending, lifting.

 Assisting clients with mobility and transfers.

 Ability to respond in emergency situations.
