The Caregiver provides non-medical personal support and companionship services to clients in their homes. The Caregiver assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes independence, ensures client safety, and enhances overall quality of life through compassionate and respectful care. This position focuses on maintaining dignity, comfort, and social engagement while supporting the client’s physical and emotional well-being.
Personal Support Services
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including:
o Bathing and grooming
o Dressing and hygiene
o Toileting assistance
o Mobility and transfers
Provide medication reminders (no administration unless certified and authorized).
Monitor and report changes in client condition.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, bed linens, tidying client areas).
Companion Services
Provide friendly conversation and emotional support.
Engage clients in recreational activities (games, reading, walks, hobbies).
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
Encourage participation in social and family activities.
Support cognitive stimulation activities.
Safety & Documentation
Maintain a safe and clean home environment.
Follow care plans and agency policies.
Document daily activities and observations accurately.
Report incidents, concerns, or changes promptly.
Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous caregiving or personal support experience.
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation and vehicle insurance & registration (if required for errands).
Ability to pass level 2 and local background screening.

Ability to assist with lifting and mobility support (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to work flexible schedules (including evenings and weekends if needed).

$16.5 - $17 per hour
