Three Tone Enterprise is seeking an experienced and results-driven Logistics Specialist to support the Logistics team by transportation operations, strengthening carrier partnerships, and driving operational excellence. This is ideal for an experienced professional who can independently manage complex transportation activities while serving as a trusted resource for the logistics team.


The successful candidate will possess strong logistics knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with carriers, drivers, customers, and freight partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage transportation operations from shipment planning through successful delivery while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Develop, recruit, qualify, and maintain relationships with carriers, owner-operators, and transportation partners to support business growth.
  • Negotiate transportation rates and identify cost-effective shipping solutions while maintaining service quality.
  • Monitor shipment status, proactively resolve delays, and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and transportation partners.
  • Analyze freight capacity and recommend transportation solutions based on customer needs and market conditions.
  • Support carrier performance management by monitoring service levels, responsiveness, and compliance.
  • Maintain transportation documentation, contracts, carrier profiles, insurance certificates, and compliance records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, increase efficiency, and reduce transportation costs.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring Logistics Assistants by sharing best practices and providing operational guidance.
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Customer Service, Accounting, and Distribution teams to ensure timely execution of customer orders.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence managing customer and carrier relationships.
  • Demonstrated success building long-term relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, or transportation providers.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to resolve transportation challenges independently.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar) and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), freight brokerage software, or logistics platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations, freight operations, and carrier compliance is preferred.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, freight brokerage, carrier management, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing transportation providers, freight scheduling, customer accounts, or carrier relationships.
  • Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday communicating with customers, carriers, and transportation partners by phone and email.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced office environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating freight rates and transportation agreements.
  • Experience with customer account management in a logistics or transportation environment.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, freight documentation, and transportation compliance.
  • Demonstrated success improving logistics processes, service levels, or operational efficiency.
