Description

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join the team at our licensed New York State Retail Dispensary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient control of stock levels. The Inventory Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory processes, reducing costs, and maximizing profitability. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory management are essential for success in this role. Role reports to the General Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Inventory Control:
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management procedures to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  1. Forecasting and Planning:
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan inventory requirements accordingly.
  • Utilize historical data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding inventory levels and product availability.
  1. Supplier Management:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective replenishment of stock.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize inventory costs.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and lead the inventory team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team performance.
  1. Technology Integration:
  • Implement and manage inventory management software systems to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in inventory management technology.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to inventory, such as overstock, stockouts, and obsolescence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize inventory holding costs.
  1. Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze regular reports on inventory levels, turnover, and other key performance indicators.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated and maintain inventory management procedures and processes adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard products and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Ensure proper store opening and closing procedures.

  • Stand for extended periods.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as an Inventory Manager or in a similar role in a cannabis or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience and proficiency in use retail inventory management software, with strong preference towards cannabis inventory management system experience.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, reach, and twist
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.

Salary

$23 - $25 per hour
