Position Overview:
As the Director of HVAC/Refrigeration, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, strategic direction, and performance of the HVAC and refrigeration departments. You will manage a team of professionals, ensure quality service delivery, and contribute to the growth and success of the company in the Lubbock area. This is a leadership position that requires both technical expertise and strong management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all HVAC and refrigeration projects, ensuring they meet customer expectations and industry standards.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair operations for HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and related equipment.
Develop and implement strategies for increasing business growth, improving operational efficiency, and optimizing cost control.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Supervise, mentor, and train the HVAC/refrigeration team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and schedules for projects and service calls.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors.
Monitor industry trends and ensure the company is using the latest technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in HVAC/refrigeration management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, installation processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC license, EPA certification) must have Texas Contractor License
Experience with budgeting, project management, and business development.
Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
Knowledge of Lubbock’s market and regional codes/regulations is a plus.
