We take pride in delivering professional service, clear communication, and quality workmanship. We are looking for a dependable and mechanically inclined Commercial Fitness Equipment Field Service Technician to join our team.

Position Overview

The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install commercial fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, strength machines, cable systems, selectorized equipment, and free-weight systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, working independently, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial cardio and strength fitness equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and safety checks
• Install and assemble new fitness equipment at commercial facilities
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related issues
• Replace parts, belts, decks, cables, pulleys, motors, consoles, bearings, and other components
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings and repair recommendations
• Document service work, parts used, photos, and notes through company systems
• Maintain company tools, vehicle, inventory, and equipment in a professional manner
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer service guidelines
• Represent 1Source Fitness professionally while working on-site with customers

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, or field service experience preferred
• Experience with fitness equipment, appliances, machinery, HVAC, automotive, or similar repair work is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift, move, and maneuver heavy equipment when needed
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage a daily service route
• Basic computer or mobile app skills for service documentation

Preferred Experience

• Commercial fitness equipment repair experience
• Familiarity with brands such as Life Fitness, Precor, Matrix, Technogym, Cybex, Hammer Strength, TRUE, Star Trac, StairMaster, Nautilus, Hoist, or similar
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Preventive maintenance or installation experience
• Experience working in gyms, apartment fitness centers, hotels, schools, or corporate wellness facilities
