We aim to listen to the voices of those we serve and to provide them with the care and support they deserve. Three Rivers Community Care began as Three Rivers Music Therapy in early 2018. Our founder, Allison Broaddrick, saw a need for the expansion of music therapy services across the Pittsburgh Region that was accessible to all. Much like the original founding of the company, the expansion to Three Rivers Community Care came from a desire to serve the needs of our community. While there are a number of providers who offer in-home and community support, our approach is different. We listened to the voices of direct care workers and individuals within the waiver system and came up with a better approach. We are learning every day and always strive to do better. We match staff and individuals based on preferences and interests not based simply on availability, we provide a higher level of training and support and pay a livable wage to all of our employees. These standards allow us to consistently deliver a higher caliber and consistency of care. We heard from our clients and their families about frustration with aging out of therapies, difficulties finding clinicians and no one understanding the needs of this population and that is how our therapy center came to be. From day one, we have let the needs of our community be heard and promise to continue to listen to disabled and autistic voices to meet those we serve where they are at and to provide them with the care that all human beings deserve.
