The Andrew Weishar Foundation

The Andrew Weishar Foundation ("Weish4Ever") supports adolescents and young adults (“AYAs”) with cancer, who face unique challenges related to their age and stage of life—such as fertility, relationships, financial stability, and career planning. Cancer treatment is expensive, and for young adults already managing student loans, rent, and childcare, the financial burden can be overwhelming. Beyond the costs, a diagnosis can disrupt education, career goals, and personal growth, often leaving AYAs feeling isolated from their peers. Our mission is to ease this burden, bring joy, and ensure patients and their families know they are not alone in this fight. The foundation was created in 2013 to honor Andrew Weishar, who before passing in 2012, asked his brother to “pay forward” the kindness and generosity shown to their family. Andrew was a remarkable son, brother, athlete, leader, and friend whose optimism and resilience inspired thousands. His legacy lives on through our programs, which provide financial assistance, emotional support, and moments of happiness to young cancer patients. Every day, we strive to fulfill Andrew’s wish by paying forward that same generosity in every way possible.
