Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC)

Since 1977, the Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) has provided 24/7 support, advocacy, and education for survivors of sexual violence in Washington County. Our work is guided by the voices and needs of survivors. While sexual violence can happen to anyone, we recognize that some communities, including youth, women, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrants, and people with disabilities, experience higher rates of violence and face multiple, intersecting barriers to safety and healing. SARC believes that healing happens in community. Survivors deserve to be met with dignity, respect, and empowerment at every step. Our programs include a 24-Hour Support & Resource Line, hospital accompaniment, housing advocacy, peer support groups and workshops, and community education and training.
